VOURLIA

Boat Dive
One of the must-do dive sites at Proti island is Vourlia, a beautiful cove on the east side of the island facing Marathopoli. Crystal clear waters, a wall full of colorful sponges, and a 40-meter Wreck sunk by italian bombers during WW2 called Maria K make it a truly unique dive. The wreck, at a depth of only 5 meters, ensures accessibility for divers of all levels.
Experience level: All levels. Due to the pool like conditions of the water most of the time, Vourlia is the perfect dive site for all diving certifications.

GRAMMENO WALL

Boat Dive
This site is called Grammeno, which means “written”, because sailors in Byzantine times carved messages into the rocks asking for safe travels and good weather. Underwater, the site is just as fascinating, with impressive rocky reefs and dense Posidonia oceanica meadows, unique to the Mediterranean. It’s also one of the few places at Proti where we find the dotted sea slug (Peltodoris atromaculata), also known as the sea cow.
Experience level: All levels. This dive is suitable for divers of all certification levels.

KATOULIA'S CANYON

Boat Dive
Katoulia's Canyon is an underwater marvel featuring steep, dramatic walls and fascinating underwater rock formations. This dive site is named after Katoulias , a notorious pirate from Mani who terrorized the western coast of Messinia and beyond. This canyon was where Katoulias hid his ship, making it invisible from the sea and allowing him to ambush unsuspecting vessels.
Experience level: All levels. While previous diving experience can be helpful, this dive is suitable for divers of all certification levels.

BLUE HOLE

Boat Dive
We can find the Blue hole on the west side of Proti Island. Starting the dive from a small cove, we pass through a cavern to reach the next cove. A room filled with stalactites is a must-stop for pictures between the two coves. This beautiful wall dive can reach depths of up to 30 meters.
Experience level: All levels. While previous diving experience can be helpful, this dive is suitable for divers of all certification levels.

SECRET CAVERN

Boat Dive
The Secret Cavern is an impressive wall dive where the top of the reef starts around 9–10 meters and drops down to about 35 meters. Along the wall you’ll discover a series of small caverns and one large, spacious cavern fill with vibrant yellow and orange sponges. The marine life is just as exciting—groupers, large hermit crabs, feather stars, and big triton shells resting on the seabed. Clear water and dramatic formations make this site a beautiful, atmospheric dive for experienced divers.
Experience level: Advanced Open Water or above, as this dive site reaches 28–30 meters.

RED CANYON

Boat Dive
Red Canyon starts with a narrow canyon at about 5 meters, creating a beautiful entry into the dive. As you exit the canyon, an impressive reef wall opens up in front of you, full of small holes and crevices that shelter all kinds of marine life. It’s a great spot to encounter big groupers, amberjacks passing by, and plenty of smaller reef species hiding along the wall. The top of the reef begins at 3 meters and drops down to 35–40 meters, offering stunning scenery at every depth.
Experience level: Advanced Open Water or above. Open Water divers can join the dive, but the site is especially beautiful and impressive when you explore the deeper sections.

TIGANAKIA WALL

Boat Dive
Tiganakia Wall is a beautiful wall dive on the eastern side of Proti Island. The dive site has interesting rock formations with plenty of gaps and cracks. As you explore the wall, you’ll see schools of fish, groupers, and octopuses hiding in the rocks. The clear, calm waters make it easy to enjoy the lively marine life and the stunning underwater view.
Experience level: All levels. While previous diving experience can be helpful, this dive is suitable for divers of all certification levels.

HOME REEF

Shore Dive
Our home reef or Skalakia, as it's called from the local people of Marathopolis, is one of the best dive sites, the region of Messinia has to offer. Crystal clear waters, rocky reefs and an abundance of marine life make it look like a big aquarium. Sea turtles are making their passing from here, and the chances of spoting one is really high.
Experience level: All levels. From experienced divers to totally beginners, this is a perfect dive spot to start your diving in the region.

VROMONERI

Shore Dive
Vromoneri is a beautiful closed bay, protected from the strong south winds that sometimes hit the Ionian sea. Starting from a shallow sandy bottom, while exiting the bay you come across a big rocky reef. The reef is home to octopuses, moray eels, lionfish and small groupers.
Experience level: Perfect for all diving levels as well as for people who want to Discover Scuba Diving.

VOIDOKILIA

Shore Dive
Voidokilia is a breathetaking closed bay that resembles the Greek capital letter omega (Ω). This beach has been voted one of the best beaches in Greece and is no wonder why! Beautiful underwater rock formations and swimthroughs is what waits for you in Voidokilia. Turquoise waters with visibility that exceeds 30m, white sandy bottom, big schools of fishes, rays and octopus is part of voidokilia´s beauty.
Experience level: Perfect for all diving certifications. Due to the topography, the duration of this dive is between 60 to 70 minutes, therefore a good physical fitness and air consumption is an advantage.

BARLAS

Shore Dive
The beach of Barlas, is a tiny sandy beach very close to our facilities, facing the Ionian sea. Is a hidden gem for locals and a few turists that searching for places off the bitten path. Easy sandy entry and beautiful rocky formations is what makes this dive spot unique. Beginner courses like PADI Discover Scuba Diving or Bubblemaker are ideal for this location.
